He is survived by: his wife Lila Wansley of Florence; his children, Renee Clay Goss of Rolling Fork, MS, Aimee Clay Rogers (Michael) of Ashland, MS and Robert Clay (Erica) of Rolling Fork, MS; his grandchildren, Kylan Reed Clay, Addie Grace Clay, Tyler Covington, Hunter Allen, Aidan Allen, Chase Rogers, John Devin Jordan and Kelsey Rogers; and his siblings, David Wansley of Vicksburg, MS, Tommie Ann Bayes (Eddie) of Brandon and Fran Braxton of Pensacola, FL..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in his memory.
