He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Thompson and Helen Douglass Thompson; and his sisters, Karen Thompson Reynolds and Judy Thompson Lea. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Morgan Thompson; his sons, Sidney "Tuff" Thompson, III (Lauren) of Hazlehurst and Timothy Douglass "Bubba" Thompson of Hazlehurst; his siblings, Susie Thompson Jackson of Bassfield and William Kevin Thompson of Hazlehurst; and his grandchildren, Ann Rivers Thompson and Coleman Walker Thompson.
