He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Quinn Holmes and Nettie Holmes; and his brother Marvin Holmes. He is survived by: his former wife S. Elaine Holmes; his children, Roy Q. Holmes, Jr. (Suzanne) of Brandon, MS. and Rolanda Lang of Pearl, MS.; his granddaughter Brittany Ellzey (Keegan) of Brandon, MS.; and his son-in-law Tim Lang.
