He was predeceased by: his parents, James Houston Summerlin and Hattie Esther Lee; and his sister Molly Ross. He is survived by: his wife Lois Summerlin; his children, Laurie Harkins (Pete), Robert Summerlin, Jr. (Amy) and Rebecca Gousset (Jody); his grandchildren, Ashley Binegar (Dustin), Alison Howell (Michael), Robert Sumerlin, III, Claire Summerlin, Shelby Gousset and Jenna Gousset; his great grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Harper, Harris and Thomas Michael; and his brother James Summerlin (Phyllis). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
