He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Cressman Whitley. He is survived by: his father Robert Harold Whitley; his wife Ruth Whitley of Florence, MS.; his son Robert Bryon Whitley Jr. (Jessica); his grandchildren, Robert Bryon Whitley III and Ginger Lily Whitley of Philadelphia; his child Ash Whitley (Paulina) of Hampton, Virginia; his brother William Harold "Chip" Whitley (Doma) of Philadelphia; and his nieces, Tanya Whittle (Michael) of McCool, MS and Dawn Goodwin (Jeff) of Philadelphia.
