He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Rains Lowery; his mother Bobbie Lowery of Florence; his daughters, Lyndi Laird (Jeffrey) of Florence and Emily Sandridge (Stephen) of Brandon; his sisters, Vicki Lewis (Jimmy) of Florence and Teresa Tucker (Eddie) of Florence; and his grandchildren, Avery Laird, Kate Laird and Andrew Sandridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Florence Building Fund.
