He was predeceased by: his father Willard Edward Downard. He is survived by: his mother Bette Downard of Florence; his close friend Leisa Boteler; his son Drew Boteler (April); his grandson Christopher of Madison; his son Kyle Boteler (Amanda) of Brandon; and his siblings, Jeff Downard (Liz) of Florence and Jill Downard Wynn (Kelly) of Canton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Marvin United Methodist Church.
