She was predeceased by: her mother Ella Grace Roberts; and her brother Ricky Jones. She is survived by: her husband Michael Higgins; her son Michael Higgins, Jr. (Courtney Clendenon) of Brandon, MS; and her half-sister Emily Money of Pelahatchie, MS. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
