She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Nicole Leigh Shamburger; and her husband Curtis Samuel Summerlin. She is survived by: her children, Mark Summerlin (Gina), Carol Hammack (Jim), Cheryl Shamburger (Leigh) and Kenneth Summerlin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Batson Children's Hospital.
