He is survived by: his sisters, Freida Hood and Carolyn Grittner; his children, Donna Diaz (Joey), Caren Brister (Bob), Sandra Cartwright (John), Wesley Powell and Mary Bess Gloria (Alex); and his grandchildren, Robert Brister, Morgan Hegi, RJ Diaz, Wes Powell, Zachary Gene Powell, Kate Price, Elijah Powell, Audrey Saxton, John Cartwright, Lucy Gloria and Taj Gloria. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
