It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Joel Echols of Florence, Mississippi, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hannibal Astin Echols and Margaret Jordan Echols; his wife Dorothy Williams Echols; and his siblings, Albert "Red" Echols (June), William Sidney Echols (Jerry), Dorothy Brooks Stephens (Johnnie) and Margaret Inez Lollar (Hubert).

He is survived by: his children, Eddie Echols, Larry Echols (Renee) and Gloria Echols.
