He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Lofton; his son Chris Lofton; his mother Rose Lofton; his siblings, Morgan John Lofton (Doris), Ellen Tanner (Jimmy), Roberta Sullivan (Charles) and Dawn Martin (Gerald); his uncle Eric Reeve; and his aunts, Siby Meadows, Gracie Woods and Verna Mae Lofton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
