He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Wilson and Myrtle O'dean Parker Wilson; his brothers, Lil Joe Wilson and Ronnie Wilson; and his grandchild Devon Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Kathalene Wilson of Pearl; his children, Lil Don Wilson (Kimmie) of Pearl, Crystal Smith (Ray) of Pearl and Melanie Adkins (Keith) of Henderson, TN; his grandson Ray Smith, Jr. (Tawania) of Raleigh; his great grandchildren, Colton and Kaylee Smith of Raleigh; and his sister Alice Wilson of Pearl.
