He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles, Sr. Ballance and Betty Ballance; and his brother Eddie Ballance. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Ballance of Florence; his children, Tasha Ballance of Florence, Charlie Ballance (Jennifer) of Florence and Christopher Ballance (Shelly) of Mendenhall; his grandchildren, Savannah Shannon, Riley Sills, Cade Sills, Rainey Macgargle, Leia Ballance and Ellison Ballance; and his sisters, Pam Brooks, Charlene Balses, Karen Wagner and Sharon Mullis.
