It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Burnside of Florence, Mississippi, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Burnside and Odell Burnside; his former wife Delorous Johnson Burnside; and his siblings, Corine Porter, Vivian Gilbert, Thomas Burnside and Marydean Sharplin.

He is survived by: his wife Faye; his sister Maedell Smith; and his daughters, Jean (late Vernon Bearden), Sherry (Randy Coker) and Judy (Don Brewster). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
