With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Ray Mangum (Florence, Mississippi), born in Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston Mangum and Gladys Mangum; and his sisters, Johnnie Abernathy and Annette Branning. He is survived by: his wife Vermell; his children, Renae Oliver (David) and Todd Mangum (Elaine); his grandchildren, Adam Oliver (Amy), Ashley Oliver Short, Emily Mangum and Andrew Mangum; his great grandchildren, Eli, Andrew and Ethan Short; and his sister Emmy Walker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that any memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Richland.
