It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Dean Welch Dauffenbach of Florence, Mississippi, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Cockrell; her parents, Myron McNeil "Bo" Welch and Rachel Christine Cook Welch; and her siblings, Hiram Welch, Wesley Welch and Billie Welch McAlpin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Welch Davis (Lex) of Brandon, MS and Christina Dauffenbach Smith (Doyle) of Mendenhall, MS; her stepson Bo Cockrell (Alicia) of Florence, MS; her grandchildren, Alexis Davis Casteel (Matt) of Jackson, MS, Harlan Davis (James) of Brandon, MS, Wesley Dauffenbach of Mendenhall, MS and Dalton Smith of Mendenhall, MS; and her sister Rachel Welch Russell (Tim) of Forest, MS. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
