It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Hardee May of Florence, Mississippi, born in Quitman, Mississippi, who passed away on June 28, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leonard Hardee and Minnie Esta Hardee; her husband James "Sonny" Miller May, Jr.; her daughter Sharron May; her siblings, Tommy Hardee and Mary Lynn Hardee Lee; and her children, Mindy May Costello (David) of Kaufman, TX, Isaac May (Kathy) of Star, MS and Dr. Byron May (Leslie) of Jacksonville, FL. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren.
