She was predeceased by: her son John Hunt; her grandson Chase Cook; her parents, John R. Childress and Katherine Hawkins Childress Lane; and her siblings, Jack, Joe, Lee, Ben Childress, Don Lane and Nancy Yonkers.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Hunt; and her children, Earl Hunt (Gaye), Ben Hunt (Melissa), Melinda Hinton and Mary Jane Guidry (Scott). She is also survived by eight granddaughters, four grandsons, four great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.
