It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Childress of Flora, Mississippi, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Hawkins and John Childress; his children, Jeffrey Childress, Rosa Childress Vance and John Edward Childress; and his brothers, Jack Childress, Lee Childress, Ben Childress and Don Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Lilley Childress; his daughter Jo Ann Childress; his sisters, Kay Hunt (Bill) and Nancy Yorkers; and his daughter-in-law Pat Childress. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
