With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Claireece Ellis Tate (Flora, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Claireece Ellis leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Claireece Ellis may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Jesse Naul Tate Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Rae Tate; her grandson Ronnie W. Grogan (DeLane Grogan); her great grandchild Jesse Grogan; her granddaughter Heather G. Megginson (Robert Kyle Megginson); her great grandchild Robert Ashton Megginson; and her granddaughter Hannah Grogan Johnson (Ryan Johnson). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Flora in Flora, Mississippi (102 Jackson St, Flora, MS 39071). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the "Immeasurably More Building Fund" at First Baptist Church of Flora https://www.fbcflora.org. or to the Baptist Children's Village, in honor of Claireece's generous heart and love for helping others.
