She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Martin and Norma Martin; her husband Oscar Odell Ponder; her children, Lynn Middleton, Phyllis Ponder and Terese Ponder; and her siblings, Jim Martin, Inez Rogers and Frances Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Carey Middleton, Jr., Mary Ponder of Magnolia, Norman Ponder and Patsy Turnage; her son-in-law Tommie of McComb; her brother George Clayton Martin of McComb; her grandchildren, Jackie Turnage Barksdale (Steve), Allen Turnage (Misty), Bobbie Jo King (Dennis), Christie Barkley (Jason), Jeremy Franklin Middleton, Janet Onita Rimes (Ivey), Stewart Middleton (LeAnne) and Bryan Ponder (Kelly); and her close friend Kathy Spencer. She is also survived by twenty-five great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren.
