With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Wright Moore (Etta, Mississippi), who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orby Prentiss and Birdye Mae Moore; his wife Mary Lane Moody Moore; and his siblings, Waurine Urbanek, Helen Rogers, Robbie Ash, Mattie Nell Morton and Roselle Moore.
He is survived by: his son Terry Moore (Rebecca) of Etta, MS; his sisters, Jean Spence of Myrtle, MS and Ruby Bennett of Oxford; his grandchildren, Mark Moore (Kourtney) and Tiffany Sanders (Brent); his great grandchildren, Dalton Moore, Braxton Moore and Emma Lane Sanders; and his great great grandchild Dallas Moore.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Philadelphia Baptist Church (456 Co Rd 255, Etta, MS 38627). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
