She was predeceased by: her parents, Weldon Barkley Strickland and Ruby Lee Gann Strickland; her husband Weldon Barkley Strickland; her son-in-law David Hancock; and her siblings, Judy Langston, Joyce Baldwin, Charles Strickland and Johnny Strickland.
She is survived by: her children, Nanette Hancock, Jerry Keith McWhirter (Patricia) and Terry Reid McWhirter; and her siblings, Jeanette Beckman, Peggy Atchley, Sherry Ezell, Harold Strickland, Lee Edward Strickland and Weldon Barkley Strickland Jr.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
