He is survived by: his children, Lula Owens of Louisville, KY, Edward Smith (Jo Ann) of Louisville, KY, Sammie Smith of Louisville, KY, Joyce Smith of Louisville, KY, Betty Smith of San Diego, CA, Earl Smith of San Diego, CA, Norman Smith of San Diego, CA, Shirley Gipson (Robert) of Southaven, MS, Sheila Lewis of Oxford, MS, Linda Nesbit of Etta, MS and Ivan Owens (Isophene) of Potts Camp, MS; his siblings, Ruth Brown of Oxford, MS, Marzee Smith of Racine, WI, Lula Grace (Walter) of Grand Rapids, MI, James Cliff Smith of Buffalo, NY and James Earl Smith (Lorie) of Racine, WI; his daughters-in-law, Diane Owens of Abbeville, MS and Carleane Smith of Green Bay, WI; and his close friends, Tom Pegues, Kenneth McIntosh and Matthew Adams.
