He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bilbo and Mary Seawright Burns; his brothers, John David Burns and Charles Wilson Burns; his daughter Sherilynn Burns; and his former wife Bonnie Bond Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Anna C. Glaskox Burns of Ethel, MS; his son Gary Walter Burns (Bobbie) of Byram, MS; his grandchildren, Robert Everette Burns, Abigail Gladys Burns, William Andrew Thompson, Dennis James Glaskox and Keegan Burnside; and his brother Percy Burns.
Memorial may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
