He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Pitts and Rachel Graham Pitts; and his brother Travis Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Odessa Pitts; his children, George Edward Pitts (Patricia), James Michael Pitts (Rhonda), Martha Hearon (James), Linda Hunt (Joe), Connie Marie Greenwood and Julia Denise White (Ric); his sister Elizabeth Clark of Frances Johnson; and his grandchildren, Wendy, Candi, Joey, Angie, Zach, Luke, Richard, Allen, Katie, Amy, Bradley and Britney.
