He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Lundy Dyess (Becky); his children, Leslie A. Powell and Devin K. Dyess; and his grandchildren, Chris Powell Jr., Rebecca Dyess, Alex Powell, Kimberly Dyess, Hannah Dyess and Tyler Powell. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
