He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Thames and Louise Wingard Thames; his son Ben Arthur Thames, Jr. (Toni); and his siblings, Jean Meldrum and Terry Thames.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Grierson Thames; his sons, Steve Thames (Bernie) and Mark Thames (Mary); his grandchildren, Steve Jr., Chris, Scott, Ashley, Sarah, Lindsey, Sidney, Taylor, Emily, Preston, Mara, Heath, Brandon, Cody and Leslie; and his pet Dusty Rose. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
