He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Roberts Jones (Roberts) and Lawrence Otis "L. O." Jones; and his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Rushing Sweeny, Charles Ray Jones and Lawrence Wayne Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret W. Jones; his daughter Jennifer Jones Jones; his grandchildren, Justin Jones and Danielle Jones; his daughter Rebecca Jones Griffis (Terrell Griffis Jr.); his granddaughter Madison Griffis; and his siblings, J. H. "Sonny" Jones, Ronald Jones (Shirley) and Linda Sisson Richardson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
