He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Steve Elmo and Elma Lee Byrd Burkes; his wife Frances Jeanelle Busby Burkes (Over); his daughters, Debbie Burkes Burnham of Brandon and Karen Burkes Williams (Charles) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; his sister Martha Burkes Spaulding (Walter) of Clinton; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn June Burkes of Laurel and Jean Busby Szabo (George) of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Laura Leigh Burnham, Thomas Jeffrey Burnham (TJ), Bradlee Richard Williams and Paige Elizabeth Williams; and his great grandchild Jacob Henley Hayman (Jake). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
