He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest McLain and Alzada Powell; his stepfather Fred Powell; and his siblings, Linda Hall, Sarah Powell, Steven McLain and Edward McLain.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy Ann McLain; his children, Norman L. McLain and Tiffeny McLain (Anthony Bond) of Waynesboro, MS; his sister Dianne Perry of Jones County, MS; and his grandchildren, James Dyson Freeman, John Allen Freeman, Nathaniel Lawayne McLain and Serenity Leighann McLain. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Mulberry Cemetery (1774 Camp 8 Rd, Richton, MS 39476).
