With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Joan Burton of Ellisville, Mississippi, born in Moorhead, Mississippi, who passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Bessie Bruce; and her siblings, Jean Upchurch and Bobby Bruce. She is survived by: her husband Prentiss Barlene Burton; her children, Greg Burton (Toni) of San Antonio, TX and Terri Heath (Tom) of Olive Branch, MS; her grandchildren, Greg Burton, Victoria Hansen, Joneece Burton, Alex Heath (Lily) and Elijah Burton; and her sisters, Carolyn Fondren Higginbotham, Beverly Hackleman (Sammy) and Gail McGlawn (Henry). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations to Children's Hospital of Mississippi or St. Jude Children's Hospital are welcomed.
