He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Dale Ruffin Copeland; and his parents, Ludie Maria Price Copeland and James Junious Copeland. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Emily Hughes (Roger), Connie Williams (Terry), Tonya Parish (Scott), Terry Herrington (Lynn), Kevin Herrington (Jan) and Kyle Ruffin (Katie); and his caregivers, Lillie Gavin, Ann Campbell and Clintora Johnson.
