He was predeceased by: his parents, Justice Pitts and Martha Jane Pitts; his wife Christine Hankins; and his siblings, Jimmy Dale Pitts, Bonnie Lou Creel, Nicey Pitts and Martha Ann Parker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charlie Pitts, Billie Jean Madison (Rayburn) and Mary Ann Rockburn (Barry); and his stepsons, Carl Hankins, Johnny Hankins and Tommy Hankins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
