He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edwin Cox and Bessie Cox; and his son Richard Kevin Cox. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Cox; his children, Renee Cox Bryant, Jacque Cox and W. M. Cox; his siblings, Jimmy Cox and Bertha Rather; and his grandchildren, Benton Cox, Katelyn Cox, Garland Bryant, Noah Cox and Liam Cox.
