He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fred and Perlie Mae Holley Conaway; his brother Wayne Conaway; and his foster son Shane Singles. He is survived by: his children, Chris Conaway (Angela) and Rhonda Payne (Chad); his adoptive daughters, Angie Dowdy and Amanda Dowdy; and his siblings, Rick Conaway (Jo), Roy Conaway (Beverly), Winford Conaway (Carry Mae), Hazel McLaughlin and Brenda Coleman (Dewayne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
