It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Andrew Russell of Ecru, Mississippi, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Aubrey "Jim" and Vera Lucille Russell; and his sisters, Charlene Stepp, Fleeta Sneed, Evie Jean Mask and Willa Dean Priddy.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Russell; his sons, Andy Russell (Susan), Alan Russell (Allison) and Matt Russell (Marley); his grandchildren, Anna Caldwell (Matt), Emily Stout (Kensey), Hannah Smith (Dusty), Mallory Gibson (Gentry), Cason Russell, Caylen Russell and Cambree Russell; and his great grandchildren, Maxey Stout, AJ Caldwell, Carver Stout, Lydia Stout, Wiley Caldwell, Bo Miles Smith, Rorey Caldwell and Hutton Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Martin Baptist Church (1352 Co Rd 86, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
