She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father George Hill; her sister Betty Sanders of Memphis; her children, Don Shumaker (Donna) of Pontotoc, Cathy Roberts (Don) of Memphis, Carol Gillespie of North Carolina, Chuck Shumaker (Sandy) of Blue Springs and Chip Shumaker (Claudia) of Morristown, Tennessee; her mother Annie Mae Hill Hutchinson (Lige Hutchinson) of Pontotoc; her husband Fenner Shumaker; and her son David Shumaker. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She crocheted over 2000 shawls that were donated to sick people in the community and local cancer centers.
