She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Sykes and Elbert Sykes; her children, Patti (Allen) and Eddie; her brother Lamar; her grandchildren, Shelley, Carley and Alex; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Reid, Miles and Vivienne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Virginia's name to the First Baptist Church.
