With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine McNeer Edwards in Durant, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roy and Johnnie Brown McNeer; her husband Jim Harvey Edwards; her daughter Jane Reed; her siblings, Norma Weeks, Elaine Moss, Clara Hocutt, Earline Cade and McNeer; and her grandchildren, Daniel Hare and Ana Claire Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelia Taylor (James), Judy McPeters (Dale) and Sue Pritchard; her grandchildren, Jeff Reed, Shannon Pritchard, Todd Pritchard, Jennifer Boland, Charles E. Hare, Brad Taylor, Brian Taylor and Jennifer McPeters; and her great grandchildren, Carson Ridell, Cynthia Ross, Kyle Wood, Sabrinia Wood, Brendan Taylor, Carver Taylor, Corbin Taylor, Hartley Simmons, Vivian Mathews, Conner Mathews, Rylah Hunt, Paislee Holland, Malcolm Taylor, Susie Lane Pritchard, Conner Pritchard, Allison Pritchard, Adam Pritchard, Cole Reed, Jake Reed, Colton Crosby, Jessa Crosby and Kipton Kyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Culpepper Funeral Home (11748 MS-35, Kosciusko, MS 39090). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Unity Baptist Church (3882 MS-440, West, MS 39192).
