With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George F. Edwards of Durant, Mississippi, born in West, Mississippi, who passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther "Luke" Edwards and Johnnie Self Edwards; his wife Margie Pace Edwards; and his siblings, Charlie Edwards, Walter Edwards, Ruth, Bessie and Mary Frances.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Edwards (Monica) of Walker, Louisiana and Linnea McMillan of Canton, Mississippi; his sisters, Katherine Williams (Donald) of Kosciusko and Dorothy Burchfield of Madison, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Nick Edwards, Shelby Wilson, Jessica Edwards, Jude Bourgeois, Kayla McMillan and Ryan McMillan. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
