He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gibens and Flora Gibens (Stroup); and his siblings, Patsy French, Wesley and Daniel Gibens.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Partlow Gibens; his sons, Steve Gibens (Kim), Mark Gibens (Debra) and Paul Gibens (Summer); his grandchildren, Nicole Bullock (Chris), Nick Gibens (Haley), Dustin Gibens (Cristy), Ally Trull (Julian) and Ella Gibens; and his sisters, Lavonia "Lucy" Coburn and Loyce "Molly" Roberson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (6777 MS-5, Hickory Flat, MS 38663).
