She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Cortez and Annie Kathryn Massey Veasey; her husband Billy Marter; her son Terry Dwayne Abel; and her brother Larry Veasey.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Abel Butler of Germantown, TN, Cynthia Rogers of Big Creek, Deborah Clay of Atoka, TN, Gerald Abel of Murfreesboro, TN, Randy Marter of Charleston and Bill Abel of Grenada; and her grandchildren, Eli Butler, Victoria Butler, Lori Mitchell, Haley Mitchell and Johnny Marter. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
