He was predeceased by: his parents, Holland Bates and Elma Craft Piner; his wife Barbara Nell Ezell Piner; his son Gregory Holly Piner; and his siblings, Sandra Kline and Ted Leroy Piner.
He is survived by: his caregiver Pat Ellis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1409 Hwy 98 E, Columbia, MS 39429).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Duck Hill Baptist Church.
