He was predeceased by: his parents, William Purvis Gorrell and Bessie Ratliff Gorrell; and his wife Sarah Luckett Gorrell. He is survived by: his children, John Patrick Gorrell (Gaye) of Cleveland, MS, Stephanie Gorrell of Madison and Elizabeth Dodd (Donovan) of Gulf Shores, AL; his brother Jimmy Gorrell (Betty); his grandchildren, Brittani Gorrell (Jonathan Morris) of Sumner, MS, Sarah Beth Gorrell and Hannah Gorrell of Pass Christian; and his great grandchildren, Emmie Morris, Caisen Steadman and Caroline Morris.
