He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hearn and Virginia Stephens Hearn; and his siblings, Calvin, Newman, Dennis, Walter Clay, Bobby Hearn, Frances Abney, Audrey Newton and Annie Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hearn of Doddsville; his children, Samuel L. Hearn Jr. (Teresa) of Nicholasville, KY and Vickie Lynn Hearn Sharp of Indianola, MS; his grandchildren, Kayla, Emily Sharp of Indianola, MS, Sami Barrow (Logan) of Owensboro, KY, Grayson and Connor Hearn of Nicholasville, KY; his great grandchild Ellie Rose Barrow; and his sister Sandra Jan Jennings of Gore Springs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
