He was predeceased by: his parent Milwood; his grandparents, Nathan, Sarah Stokes, Marcelin and Martina Lightell; his wife Mary Waldrop Stokes; his brother David Stokes; his brother-in-law David "Buster" Powell; his great-nephew Alexander Norton; and his great-niece Audrey Finuff.
He is survived by: his children, Zack Leger, Nathan Stokes, Taylor Stokes and Emma Stokes; his siblings, Laverne Clayton (Tom), Kathy Strickland (Steve), Yvonne Johnston (Mike), Buddy Stokes (Porfi), Belinda Powell, John Stokes (Susan) and Karen (Donald) of Montana; and his pets, Shadow and Bill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS.
