He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Howes and Jean Howes. He is survived by: his brother Buster; his sister-in-law Bonnie Scott; his wife Mary Jo Howes; his son Ray L. "RJ" Howes, IV; and his brothers, Fred, Neil Howes, Floyd Scott (Bonnie) and Gilbert Scott (Sue).
