He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Whitehead (Harris); and his brother Kyle Ladner. He is survived by: his father Nickie Simmons, Sr.; his children, Kala Simmons of Nickie Simmons, III, Troy Beckham, Diamond Beckham, Ashley Cortez, Sheila Causin and Joseph Causin; and his siblings, Christi Simmons, Nicole Beckham (Kevin), Tori Berggren (James) and Wesley (Bridget). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Nickie's final act was to give the gift life to others through organ donation.
